I’m sure you’ve heard it before – “Work Online From Home For Free!” – is anything ever truly free or possible or is the heading just a way to lure you in?
In this post I want to introduce you to Internet Affiliate Marketing (IAM) where you can truly work from home for free.
But please remember nothing is truly “free” – with Internet Affiliate Marketing the price you pay will be your time – in the initial stages of developing your online business your time is your most valuable asset and it needs to be spent wisely.
The effort you put in at the beginning will pay you over and over later on when you truly are able to work from home for free.
Think of it like the author of a best-selling novel, or an artist who has a hit record. The hard work is creating the masterpiece upfront but thereafter sales keep rolling in year after year. IAM is exactly like that – except not as difficult and you don’t need any specific talent or experience.
The same successful author or artist goes on to write or create more bestsellers but in the meanwhile he/she is in demand for appearances at functions, has clothing and other products marketed with their brand and makes money from an array of sources not directly related to the hit record or best-seller. Yet all these peripheral streams of income are a result of that initial work.
Internet Affiliate Marketing works the same way. As you progress you learn a thousand different ways to create income streams and capitalize on your new-found knowledge.
In all truth no work, or job, is ever truly free – there is always a “price” to be paid. It may be sacrificing time from your family, the cost of getting to work, living with stress due to work responsibilities or low salary that doesn’t quite match the monthly bills.

Decide on Your Goal … you can’t start if you don’t know where you are headed.
With IAM you need to be brutally honest with yourself and set realistic short medium and long term goals.
You cannot plan a journey unless you know your starting point and where you are headed. The route, mode of transport and logistics can be determined through research.
So where are you at?
Do you have some time on your hands?
Are you desperate for an income in the short term?
If you have any time on your hands you can start IAM immediately.
If on the other hand you are desperate for an income immediately then IAM is not the solution to your short term problems and you probably need to find a job that trades you dollars for the hours and work you put in.
While looking for employment there is no reason not to start the journey to financial independence by using the spare time you have, between looking for work and interviews, to learn the ins and outs of internet affiliate marketing.
Right now you may have a zero bank balance and your goal is to reach $1,000,000.00 – that’s perfectly fine and attainable but unlikely with any kind of job.
This is all good as you now have a starting point and know where you want to go.
The logistics are …
1. If an Income is needed immediately.
Your research so far has determined that you need a paying job in the short term.
You can spend time between job hunting and interviews to get started on IAM – that might be 3 or 4 hours a day or even more.
Once you have a 9-5 JOB, time spent on building your online business may be as little as 2 hours a day after dinner/before work/during your lunch break etc.
Over weekends (family time permitting) you may be able to spend as much as 12 hours (or more) a day.
Realistically speaking you are unlikely to earn any money in the first 6 months.
After 6 months though you will have a very clear indication as to how you are progressing and can adjust your life accordingly.
Continue building your online business until the income from it exceeds your income from work.
Fire your boss and work for yourself towards that $1,000,000.00
2. If you don’t need income immediately.
You can get started straight away and spend as much time as you have to spare on creating your online business.
Your rate of progress will be determined by the amount of time you can put in to your business.
You could quite conceivable be earning your first online income within 3 – 6 months and be financially independent, with a long term sustainable business, within 1 – 2 years.
Your success will be determined by the hours you put in and the marketing methods you employ to create your online business.
It really is that simple but you will need to understand how online marketing works and this will many hours of research.
Rome was not built in a day.
Prepare For a Period of Learning … possibly a long one
Online marketing is a vast subject with many facets to it.
You are not going to succeed if you simply throw something out there and hope it sticks.
To create an online business you will need a computer and an Internet connection and TIME!

Pitch Up to “Work” Every Day … and give your pound of flesh
When you go to work you never get paid in advance – at the end of the week, fortnight or month the hours you have worked are added up and multiplied by your rate. Tax is deducted and you finally get what is left.
To get this salary you have to travel to work and front up – if you don’t show and give your pound of flesh you don’t get paid. It’s as simple as that.
With IAM it’s a bit different but you still need to pitch up for work every day to get paid at some time in the future.
The difference lies in when and how much you get paid.
In the first month or six your boss (Google is your boss if you’re interested) probably won’t pay you a cent and will put your work on the back burner until you have proved yourself.
As you pitch up for work each day the “Boss” takes note and might consider your efforts warrant a closer look. Your earlier work may be picked up and scanned by the boss (or probably a lower member of management) and taken off the back burner – for now.
Keep pitching up for work and giving your best and the “Boss” is not only willing to promote you, but has no other choice. It is clear for all to see that you are a stayer with an excellent work commitment and are prepared to patiently await your reward. Finally your initial work is moved to page 1 of Google searches. Yes the Boss has decided that you are good enough for him/her to show you off as a success story.
To get to this point may have taken you 3 months, maybe 6 or maybe even a year but there is no stopping you now.
Big paydays are here to stay!
Do a “search” on Google for anything and see what organic results come up on page 1 – not the ads, those are paid for and change daily.
The organic results however stay on page 1 with minor fluctuations in position. These are the pages making money over and over again.
A post you create today may take 6 months to reach page 1 but after that it will appear daily on page 1 and pay you handsomely.
Unlike a job where you get paid once for each hour work you do IAM pays you hundreds and sometimes thousands of times for an hour work.
At this point you truly are working online for free.
Never Give-up … success could be one day away
One of the biggest mistakes people make in Internet marketing is giving up too soon.
You really cannot fail at this business – you can only quite.
With 380 new websites created each minute Google needs to be sure that they will be there for the long term.
And that number is just websites – and does not include posts, pages or articles.
With millions of pages of content created daily we can hardly expect Google to select our page because it is pretty, new, unique etc. as soon as it is published. It stands to reason that Google wants to see more from us before rewarding us.
I have seen so many potentially great affiliate marketers give-up or change niches midstream when they were so close to success.
Don’t quit – keep working the rewards will come and be well worth the effort.
